University of South Dakota

Founded in 1862, the University of South Dakota is located on a 286-acre campus in Vermillion, a university-minded community nestled along the bluffs of the Missouri River in the southeast corner of South Dakota. Committed to excellence in education, research and service, the university is South Dakota's designated liberal arts institution. USD is home to South Dakota's only law and medical schools, college of fine arts and AACSB accredited Beacom School of Business and is annually recognized by national publications such as The Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report for its academic excellence, affordability and value. One of the many South Dakota Board of Regents Centers of Excellence is located at the university. The University of South Dakota offers a broad curriculum in liberal arts and professional programs in seven schools and colleges. More than 132 majors are available along with 62 graduate and professional programs.
