Southern Oregon University

Southern Oregon University has an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students and is located on the I-5 corridor in Ashland, Oregon. SOU offers a broad-based, general education that prepares graduates for the many roles they will occupy in their lives, as well as selected professional programs in Business and Education for those students with specific career objectives. The student faculty ratio of 21:1 and average class size of 21 are ideal for undergraduate instruction. The community of Ashland is internationally recognized for contributions in the fine and performing arts and is the home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The community and university are located in the foothills of the Siskiyou mountains, and includes the Mt. Ashland community ski area, close proximity to the Pacific Crest Trail and the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. The world-class U.S. Fish and Wildlife Forensics Laboratory and the Schneider Museum of Art are also located on the 175-acre campus.
