South Mountain Community College

Founded in 1979 as part of the Maricopa Community College District, South Mountain Community College is an integral part of a culturally diverse community. The 104-acre campus is located in an area that is a mix of rural, urban, and suburban neighborhoods. SMCC is the only designated minority institution and one of three Hispanic-serving institutions within the Maricopa Community College District.
