State Authorization and Professional Licensure: The Intersection of State Authorization Agencies and Professional Licensing Boards

As the awareness of state authorization of higher education institutions has increased, so has the realization of the relationships between state authorization entities and professional licensing boards. This paper deals with those intersections as well as issues institutions need to address when offering programs that lead to a professional license or certification.
