A Glimpse Beyond State Lines

This publication presents findings from an array of analyses of the combined dataset covering 192,689 students from the four states participating in WICHE’s Multistate Longitudinal Data Exchange Pilot. Among other things, these results describe what can be known about participation in postsecondary education, degree completion, employment, and geographic mobility.

The findings provide detail about what happened to students who were Class of 2005 high school graduates or first-time college undergraduates at public institutions in these states during the 2005-06 academic year as they made their way into and through college, and beyond. These results provide evidence about the value of WICHE’s MLDE, providing valuable information to public policymakers concerned with human capital and workforce development.
