Strategy, Impact, and Academic Partnerships at WICHE
The strategy, impact, and academic partnerships team at WICHE creates opportunities for academic and student success leaders on campuses and at systems across the West to collaborate, have important conversations, exchange information, and grow in their professional careers.
WICHE facilitates affinity-based membership groups for academic leaders in the WICHE region. Issues facing members are universal across higher education, but the opportunity for personal networking around these issues is what makes belonging to these groups the most valuable.
Based on concepts put forth by the above-mentioned affinity-groups, WICHE secures funding and subject matter experts and facilitates the creation of cross-state collaborations and learning circles. These collaborations last anywhere from one-ten years.
WICHE provides leadership development opportunities to senior faculty members, deans, and associate vice provosts. One- and two-year cohort-based fellowships offer one-to-one and small group opportunities for aspiring senior academic leaders in higher education to gain professional development, exchange and engage with peers, and build a strong network.
