State Projects and State Policy Roundtables

Through a competitive process, 14 states have been selected to participate in the Changing Direction project to receive direct technical assistance to explore and implement innovative ways of improving the policymaking framework at the state level. Brief descriptions with anticipated outcomes and contact information for the five states follows are included in the "State Summaries" document. This project is supported by a grant from Lumina Foundation for Education.

Through this component of the project, WICHE and its partners are working with individual states to develop and facilitate a state roundtable discussion involving policymakers, higher education leaders, and other key constituencies to identify the state's priorities and strategies for integrating higher education appropriations, financial aid, and tuition policy.
